PUBG - Is AKM buffed to be the best AR?

Last week PUBG officially released Update 1.0 # 12 with the release of a huge range of content including new guns, new vehicles and new attachments. However, this update also makes a big change with some new types of weapons, especially AR – Assault Rifle. This change makes M4A1 - the gun was used to be considered the best choice for players, limited in power. In contrast, AKM - the name is "disregarded" because of excessive recoil, is "buffed" up with a few good points.

Other aspects of AKM are also changed, for examples increase reloading time 10%, reduce recovery speed, and horizontal - vertical recoil as well as damage stay unchanged (and the failure to mount X8) . The way to test AKM's recoil is similar to the way to test other Auto guns. That is shooting a mag of bullet against the wall without pinning the gun down. After shooting 5 mags, the bullet of each mag will form the lines as shown below.

As we can see, before Update 1.0 # 12, the recoil chart of AK tends to radiate up. This means that the more players shot, the more difficult they can control horizontal recoil of the gun. That’s why AKM is rarely used, especially in the middle and late match before PUBG releases Update.

However, after Update 1.0 # 12, AKM's recoil is suddenly "buffed" and makes it a very powerful weapon. This time when players test AKM's recoil, the chart does not radiate as much as before and AKM can even compete with the best AR's of PUBG. You can see the image below:

Besides, AKM's vertical recoil is higher (the line is longer than before), however it is still considered a huge advantage. As you know, vertical pinning is much easier than horizontal pinning, especially when most of your target moves to both sides. Another interesting point is AKM's vertical recoil. Vertical recoil of the gun decreases sharply when sitting, decreases much more than that of other guns. With its stronger damage than that of other AR types, AKM really becomes an extremely attractive option for gamers right now.
